Dear Friends of Children First Academy,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our website. We value your passion and commitment to helping Children First Academy as we strive to prepare our students for their future.

We are in the middle of a capital campaign to raise money for the purchase and renovation of the building and property where we held this year’s fundraiser. Unfortunately, the number of impoverished and homeless children continues to rise in Maricopa County each year and we have outgrown our present facilities.

Our objective is simple: Help our students up not simply help them out…..Provide children both the classroom education and life skills education to provide them the foundation to compete and contribute in society. The academic achievement that our students have been able to accomplish makes their transition to high school, college and beyond to employment feasible. The life skills we teach such as the importance of good hygiene and health choices enhance their self esteem and confidence as they face life’s challenges.

How do we do this? Please let us show you! Children First Academy of Phoenix would like to invite you to tour our current location so you can see the children and organization you are helping with your donations and time. I know you will be touched to see the difference your continued kindness and generosity makes. You will see the laundry facility where they can wash their own clothes…experience a student docent give you the tour…see the jobs they have applied for at the school to help out in the cafeteria or make food boxes in the family service center. You will hear from the students and the teachers of the significant progress in the classroom.

There are many additional ways to help Children First Academy of Phoenix build our new school and sustain our efforts to help and educate impoverished and homeless students. We invite you to consider the following:

  1. Donate $5,000 or more and have naming rights on a room or area in the new school.
  2. Make a three-year giving commitment to a specific program.
  3. Name Children First Academy as a beneficiary in your estate plan as a legacy gift.

There are other ways to help support Children First Academy through the giving of your time and talents! If you have questions, ideas or need additional information, please contact Dina Gerdon at 602-712-0500 or dina.gerdon@edkey.org.

Your kindness, generosity and support are appreciated. Thank you for putting children first.
